Co-founded the company in 1978 and served as its President. Thereafter, worked to develop Royal as a full service oil & gas development and exploration company. Royal grew to employ 120 individuals in four divisions; Land Leasing, Geological, Drilling and Production. The company successfully drilled, completed and operated approximately 450 oil & gas producing properties throughout the Appalachian Basin. Royal’s Auditors at the time, Ernst & Whinney, stated that the Company’s 51 limited partnerships had provided its investors with an annual average after tax return on investment of 23%. The Stanger Register ranked Royal’s programs with their highest rating in terms of structure to investors and also with the lowest risk to investors.

Founded this company in 1982 as a Direct Participation NASD Brokerage, primarily serving Ohio’s Independent Oil & Gas Industry. Empire Securities pioneered the use of financial guarantee bonds as well as unsecured leveraged financing (Equitable Bank of Baltimore, N.A.) in company sponsored direct participation securities. Operating as an NASD Principal, as well as an Investment Sponsor, established and managed a network of twelve regional, independent brokerage firms through which Empire raised Fifty-Four Million Dollars ($54,000,000.00) of investment capital that generated capital growth of Three Hundred Fifty Million Dollars ($350,000,000.00).

Designed and implemented numerous systems to accomplish this mission.
